Reporting comments, stories, and users
How to report something that breaks the rules, what to include, and what happens after you do.
If you see content or behavior that breaks the Community Guidelines, report it so Herix staff can review it.
Reporting a comment
- Find the comment and select Report under it.
- Optionally say why you are reporting it. A sentence of context helps staff act faster.
- Submit. The comment then shows as Reported for you.
If a comment is on your own story, you can also hide or delete it yourself. Writers can turn comments or replies off, or require approval for new comments, under Settings → Privacy → Privacy.
Reporting a user
- Go to their profile and select Block, then confirm.
- Herix asks Report them too? Add a reason if you like and choose Yes.
Blocking takes effect immediately and ends any follow between you in both directions. If you want a user looked at without blocking them, use the contact form as described below.
Reporting a story, chapter, review, image, or update
Use the contact form with the inquiry type set to Account & Technical Support. Include a link to it and describe what you saw. Reports can cover AI-generated content, prohibited content, a rating that does not match the story, impersonation, or any other guideline violation.
Someone copied your work
Use the contact form with the inquiry type set to Copyright / DMCA, or email [email protected], with a link to the copy and information showing that the work is yours, such as a link to where you published it first. Herix may take the reported work down while the claim is reviewed, and if the claim holds, remove it and act against the account. False or malicious copyright claims can themselves lead to moderation action.
Please report in good faith
Do not use reporting to target writers because you dislike their work or opinions. Disagreeing with a story is not a violation; attacking the person behind it is.
