Herix Studios was started by Arfin Uddin along with a small group of developers and writers. We were all tired of the same thing. Every time we opened a reading app, the front page was packed with AI-generated stories, and the people who had spent months on their work were buried somewhere underneath. Good writers were getting passed over because nobody could find them. We wanted a place where fiction written by actual people had a real chance, so we built one.
AI-generated writing is everywhere in online publishing now. A lot of platforms get machine-written chapters faster than anyone could read them, and most readers can't tell which is which anymore. That's hard on anyone just starting out. You're competing for attention with accounts that can post a new chapter every hour, and when someone does find your story, you have no easy way to show them you actually wrote it.
How is Herix different?
You can't just make an account and start posting. Anyone who wants to publish here applies first and sends us a sample of their writing. Someone on our team reads it before that account can publish anything. It's slower than leaving the door open, and we're fine with that, because it means every writer on the site got here by showing us their own work.
Once you're in, the stories we feature are picked by people who read them. Readers find you by genre, follow you, rate and review your chapters, and can report anything that doesn't belong. The goal is simple: if your story is good, readers should be able to find it.
We're also keeping it small on purpose. Herix isn't trying to be a platform for everything. It's for people who take their writing seriously and want it read by people who take reading just as seriously.
If you came here looking for something good to read, or you have a story of your own you want to share, welcome.
There's always another world to get lost in.
And if you're up for it, maybe it's time you built one of your own.
